Family Vacation, June 2005
Also in the month before I left, I got to sail down the eastern seaboard and see my family. It was a good excuse especially to see my little cousins, some of whom I'd never seen, and plant seeds in their mind of coming to Europe without their parents, toting a little kid valise and a note pinned to their shirt which begins, "ACHTUNG! ICH BIN EIN AMERIKANISCHE KIND..."

My mom with her niece and nephews. I think I had the preternatural wisdom to mention nose-picking right before this picture was taken.

Kai was pimpin' with some untold vibing that I couldn't follow.

I couldn't stop taking pictures of the kids getting out of school. I felt like there were millions of miniature interactions and thoughts happening freeform, if that makes any sense. (It doesn't.)
